CAT D8R CRAWLER TRACTOR (1998) - Unit #D4284 Machine Hours: 16937
Repair / Condition ReportThis tractor has been extremely well maintained.
Upon arrival to our yard this unit was serviced. All filters were removed and cut open and checked for contaminates. All were clean and so were both the final drives.
Engine high idle and torque converter stall speeds were checked and both were within Caterpillar Specifications.
Following is a list of repairs completed by Marcel Equipment Limited at 15980 Hours:
- Resealed left blade lift cylinder.
- Repaired turbo exhaust leak (clamp).
- Installed NEW bearings on lift cylinder yokes.
- Installed NEW bearings on lift cylinders.
- Resealed steering pilot valve using a NEW oil seal kit.
- Repaired brake valve leak.
- Repaired work lights.
- Checked air conditioning system for proper operation and repaired as necessary.
- Installed NEW bearings in belt tensioner.
- Installed NEW crankshaft belt pulley.
- Installed all NEW belts.
- Installed all NEW front hard nose bushings.
Following is a summary of latest repairs completed by the Caterpillar Dealer at 15135 and $56,233.00 was spent:
- Complete undercarriage was installed.
- Removed track frames and resealed track adjusters.
- Removed, inspected, rebearinged and resealed both final drives.
- Resealed pivot shaft assembly.
- Installed all NEW track guide wear strips.
- Rebearinged and resealed equalizer bar on both ends.
- REBUILT all four idlers.
- Inspected all bogies.
At 13800 hours $55,369.00 was spent on the following:
- Completely reconditioned engine assembly.
- Completely reconditioned torque converter.
- Completely reconditioned transmission.
- Reconditioned transmission pump.
- Reconditioned implement pump.
- Reconditioned piston motor in the diff steer.
Oil samples and records are available as well as the Caterpillar undercarriage wear report.
This unit is now work ready.
